They're not kidding it's really Freaking Gud! We had the brisket, chopped brisket, sausage, jalapeno sausage. All was delicious. The sides too. Tried the potato salad and green beans and both were excellent! We didn't have room for dessert hopefully next time we'll have bigger belly's. Wished I had thought to take it to go the peach cobbler. Don't leave without it and regret it like I did.
Frekin Gud BBQ delivered. It was okay. I thought the sauce would make the chips all soggy (the way I like a Frito Pie) by the time it for here, but they packed the sauce separate. I added the sauce and let it sit for a bit and it was perfect. Speaking of sauce, I really liked theirs. Seems like they make it themselves. It was kind of thin and vinegary with a tomato flavor. NOT too spicy. Thank God. I thought I'd have to give up BBQ sauce. Potato salad was definitely made fresh with chunks of potatoes. Not enough mustard and mayo for my taste, which actually works. I wondered if the pickles were homemade as they were in chunks instead of chopped slices. Satisfied my BBQ craving and wanting something different.
If you are on the road between DFW and Austin Texas; then you need to make a stop in Bellmead. We will now be making this a permanent stop when I’m Texas. Food was homemade, BBQ was award winning, and the service was immediate. We tried brisket, ribs, and even though I was stuffed, I had to try the pulled pork sandwich. Make Frekin Gud a must on your stop in Texas. It’s not just Freaking Good, it is Freaking Amazing. Thank you Shaine and Carla we will see you in a couple months.
